Battery Service Tool has the power to turn any standard PSP or PSP Slim battery into a TOOL Mode battery and back again, quickly and safely. Just slot your charged battery into the Battery Service Tool device – it’s powered directly from the PSP/PSP Slim battery itself, so you don’t even need an external power supply. Your battery is then converted into a TOOL Mode battery, which boots your PSP or PSP Slim in Service Mode. Put the battery back into Battery Service Tool and it’s returned to its original state as a standard battery.

When you switch on your PSP or PSP slim with a TOOL battery inserted, the console boots in Service Mode, a special functionality previously only available to programmers and developers. When in Service Mode, you can boot software that’s stored on your Memory Stick. It's easy!

Battery Service Tool works with any official Sony 1200mAh, 1800mAh or 2200mAh battery for PSP or PSP Slim (not included). It requires no programming or modification, and will not invalidate your warranty.

This product is very easy to use and with the help of a Magic Memory Stick it will work with no harm to your PSP or Battery. It switchs into a Tool battery in 2 seconds. I believe that this version is better than the MAX Power TOOL because it is cheaper and always in stock. Thanks DATEL

This is the best device out there to put CFW on your psp. It works Flawlessly to create a pandora battery (must have a magic memory stick also). I give it a 10 out of 10.

Great Product! It works well though don't be fooled thinking this is the answer to everything. It only brings you to SERVICE MODE. So if you don't have the right files then don't expect this to do that for you (then eventually calling this a ripoff because of your inability of providing the right files). All in all a great product.

I bought this and this was one of the best buy I made so far. The battery works perfectly and allows me to save my PSP so often. Great product! Really worth the price paid.

I bought this to mod my PSP. It arrived yesterday and I have successfully modded 2 SLIM units. I have 3 more to do this weekend. This product has paid for itself already. Nice to know that you don't have to muck with your battery . Just plug in, press the button and away you go!!!!

I have to agree with every 5 star rating I've seen here. With a bit of research and intelligence, this can make the hack process take far less time. I've successfully hacked 1 PSP and 3 PSP Slims now -- because of this battery hack. I even got a few of these friends to pay a small amount -- thus making this purchase a small investment for myself.
